DJOU TAKES OBAMA'S HOMETOWN CONGRESSIONAL SEAT -- NRCC NOT INVOLVED.

<object width="560" height="340">

"This is a momentous day. We have sent a message to the United States Congress. We have sent a message to the ex-governors. We have sent a message to the national Democrats. We have sent a message to the machine. We have told them, that we will not stand idly by as our great nation is burdened by too much taxes and too much wasteful spending" said Representative-elect Djou in front of hundreds of supporters at Republican headquarters in Honolulu."

Tea Party Bags Bob Bennett!

Utah's sitting senator, Bob Bennett, lost his  bid for re-election after being eliminated in the second round of balloting at the GOP state convention, the AP is reporting.

"It's time to get rid of the incumbents," said Kyle Hosman, a 39-year-old North Ogden delegate supporting (GOP candidate Mike) Lee. "Quite frankly I'm disgusted by what I've seen in Congress the past 10 years."

The defining trend of this election as a referendum on incumbency itself continues.

Christine O'Donnell Raises a Challenge

The Delaware Senate race just got a little more interesting with the addition of Republican Christine O'Donnell to the race. O'Donnell forces a September primary against Representative Mike Castle who is looking to move from the House to the Senate.

Could Delaware be another Massachusetts? O'Donnell another Scott Brown? Castle voted against the Obamacare bill but has recently come out against repeal of the bill which will put him at odds against Senator Jim DeMint who has repeal at the top of his agenda.

Castle's position against repeal fits right in with his moderate label; he also voted FOR Cap and Trade in the House and supports embryonic stem cell research. He's soft on immigration and voted against forbidding interstate transportation of minors to get abortions.

Christine O'Donnell, on the other hand, is a proven vote getter, having run against Joe Biden for the seat in 2008 and garnering 35% of the vote - not enough to win, but quite respectable in a state that is supposedly a blue state.

The political landscape is very different now than in 2008 and O'Donnell looks to be a strong candidate.

She's pro-life, vows to fight to reduce taxes, strengthen national security and support gun rights.

All in all it should make the race more interesting and in today's political climate, anything can happen! If Mike Castle isn't going to join the Republican fight to repeal this job-killing liberty-sucking behemoth that is Obamacare, we don't need him.

Go here to donate to O'Donnell's campaign and put a true conservative in the Senate.

Mark DeMoss Pulls His Financial Support

In a follow-up to Stacy's post below, we note that Evangelical donor Mark DeMoss is withdrawing his financial support for the Republican establishment and will now donate only to those candidates he chooses to support. Citing the leaked PowerPoint presentation as an example of the lame brained, amateurish Republican tactics, which Stacy so adequately addressed in his update to his post on The Other McCain, DeMoss says in a letter to Michael Steele,
The depictions of President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Harry Reid were shameful, immature and uncivil, at best. While I realize your office made steps to distance you from this presentation I’m afraid the presentation is representative of a culture and mindset within the Republican National Committee; consequently, I will no longer contribute to any fundraising entity of our Party—but will contribute only to individual candidates I choose to support.
Bravo!

This Was NOT a GOP Victory...

And so the oldest, and arguably the foulest political dynasty ever foisted off on this Republic is reduced to one drunken, pill-popping freak in Rhode Island... My full and unqualified congratulations both to that outnumbered band of conservatives in Massachusetts who have held their principles firm in the face of overwhelming numbers and even abandonment by their own party, and to all those Democrats and independent Massachusetts voters who realized there was no future in following Barack Obama and the Democratic Party machine deeper into moral and fiscal bankruptcy.  We welcome you back to the political life of this wonderful country, and look forward to working with you to make it again the shining triumph it was always meant to be. This was not a GOP victory tonight.  If it had been left to the GOP, to Michael Steele and John Cornyn, Scott Brown would have vanished into obscurity and Ms. Coakley would have waltzed into Washington uncontested. This was, yes, a victory for the 'tea baggers,' the scorned, mocked American men and women from all parties and no party who came together to reject the politics of the insiders club in DC, GOP and Democrat, to reject the trading of favors paid for by our security, our solvency and our children's futures, to reject the notion of government by the mutal consent of well-placed incompetents who understand their own arcane parliamentary games and nothing else about this magnificent, diverse, yes, exceptional nation. And so to Nancy Pelosi, to Harry Reid, yes, to Michael Steele and especially to that jug-eared store mannequin in the Oval Office, I say again, "That's one... ...and she's just the first."

Support Michelle Bachmann -- Competent Conservative, Democratic Target!

This coming election cycle is going to be a referendum on incumbency, and in most cases, Democrat or Republican, the electorate would be best served by kicking the bums to the curb, as they have long since forgotten both ideals and the hard fact that they work for us.

Michelle Bachmann is the exception, and the Democrats know it. That's why she has become one of their biggest targets, second only to Limbaugh, Palin and Beck.

Show your support for Michelle Bachmann and competent government today!

NH GOP Candidate Holds Townhall while Dem Hides from Constituents!

NH Mayor and GOP candidate Fred Guinta will hold a townhall in NH in the absence of the state's Democratic incumbent.

Following on a similar move by Arizona's Jesse Kelly, this represents a growing trend for local Republicans to take decisive action to reach out to constituencies being neglected and misserved by their Democratic incumbents. It would be great to see this level of initiative from the RNC.

It would be great to have Penelope Cruz show up at my door in a Hooters outfit with a pitcher of beer and a basket of wings, too, but I ain't holding my breath for that either.

Ari David Pulling in Campaign Cash after Breitbart TV feature!

California Congressional candidate Ari David, running against Howard the Snout Waxman, reports significant campaign contributions received after a feature on Breitbart's Big Hollywood.

The following is Ari's speech from his campaign kickoff at Hollywood's famous Formosa Cafe...

“Thank you for coming to our event tonight. First I want to give special thanks to John, Ron and Evan for all of their support and all the great work they have done on our behalf. Please give them a hand.

Eric, I want to thank you for being the emcee at this party. Everyone, please buy a copy of his book because it is a great read and Eric Golub is really in touch with where the modern conservative movement is heading and last but certainly not least, I want to thank my gorgeous wife Fini who supports me in all of my AMBITIOUS endeavors. Honey, without you I would not be here tonight. I love you.

Fini and I are about to become proud parents of a beautiful little girl. I want you to all imagine the grief we are going to give Henry Waxman as we campaign. Let’s see, a beautiful wife, an adorable baby, a stunningly handsome candidate (that would be me) and a golden retriever puppy. CENTRAL CASTING DID A GREAT JOB, DIDN’T THEY? People tell me that they think this will be a tough race. I agree with them. It will be really tough on Henry Waxman.

The theme is simple. Ari David and family love children, puppies and kittens. Henry Waxman will ROB YOUR CHILDREN’S FUTURE and put you in the poorhouse.

He doesn’t stand a chance.

I challenge Henry Waxman on three issues:

First:

I fully support Israel morally, militarily and diplomatically.

Henry Waxman pays lip service to the Jewish States security issues. But he has a deplorable record of standing with Pelosi and Obama at every turn as they harm Israel AND betray his true agenda. This agenda is the acquisition of unlimited political power. To gain this power from the Democrat party, he happily sells his own people down the river.

The first thing I will do in office is work to empower Israel to act unilaterally against any of her enemies at her discretion. I will also work to share with her all the missile and rocket defense systems available and work to continually develop more. Having the latest missile defense systems up and running is in Israel’s best interest and with Iran and North Korea becoming ever expanding threats it is in our best interest too. Henry Waxman has voted against missile defense system funding every time it has come up for a vote in the House. IF HE HAD HIS WAY, OUR NATIONAL DEFENSE WOULD CONSIST OF SLINGSHOTS AND PEA SHOOTERS. WELL MAYBE THAT’S AN EXAGGERATION. HE’D PROBABLY THINK JUST PEA SHOOTERS ARE ENOUGH.

The second issue I challenge Henry Waxman on is his Cap and Trade FIASCO.

I am against all regulation and taxes on energy use and production. We are the most car centric district in the nation. How dare Henry Waxman sponsor (and pass) cap and trade legislation when his OWN constituents, are the PEOPLE most dependent on gasoline to live our lives?

Unemployment in California is at 15% and rising. We are in a terrible recession brought on by the Democrats in both Washington and Sacramento.

It is a shocking example of arrogance for Henry Waxman to IMPOSE any law on his voters that would increase the costs of OUR businesses and OUR LIVES. AND AS IF THAT ISN’T ENOUGH DESTRUCTION, HE’S NOW IN THE FOREFRONT OF DEMOCRATS TRYING TO FORCE SOCIALISED HEALTH CARE DOWN OUR THROATS. THE PLAN HE SUPPORTS WOULD BE SO DISASTROUS FOR THIS COUNTRY, WOULD INFLICT SO MUCH HARM ON OUR ECONOMY AND ON AMERICANS, EVEN OSAMA BIN LADEN MIGHT LOOK AT IT AND SAY, “I CAN’T TOP THAT.”

HENRY WAXMAN does not know the MEANING of the word enough!

The second thing I will do in office is work to rescind all of the federal fuel and energy taxes on Californians.

The third issue is CLOSE TO MY HEART, AND MANY IN THIS DISTRICT.

Every town has a local mill. I believe that our local mill, otherwise known as the entertainment industry must be protected and kept local.
Henry Waxman has presided over a massacre of runaway production and job loss in our entertainment business.

The third thing I will do in office is WORK TO streamline all regulations and significantly reduce all taxes on entertainment production in the LA area. AND at a minimum WE SHOULD give the same economic incentives to LA production that equals or exceeds whatever the most generous benefits being given by any other state or nation. I will also work to curb production insurance costs.

THE ENTERTAINMENT business is critical to the local economy, BUT IT IS ALSO IMPORTANT TO AMERICA BECAUSE HOLLYWOOD HAS SO MUCH INFLUENCE OVER OUR CULTURE.

MOVIES, television, music and sports are what give Americans from diverse regional backgrounds a common unified culture. BUT AS FOREIGN INTERESTS GAIN MORE AND MORE CONTROL OVER ENTERTAINMENT CONTENT, THIS CULTURE IS INCREASINGLY THREATENED.

Because film content is being made for and controlled by foreign interests we have White supremacist villains in action films from Waco and Belgium instead of Muslim terrorists from Syria or Saudi Arabia.

PRESIDENT REAGAN SPOKE OF AMERICA AS A SHINING CITY ON A HILL, BUT RIGHT NOW our nation is on the precipice of a cliff. THAT’S WHY the choice (before us) in the next midterm election is crucial. We will either preserve our nation which has proven itself for more than 200 years as the last great hope for mankind or we will take the final steps into a thousand years of darkness.

For the first time since mankind’s ascent from the swamps to the stars has the leading culture on earth decided to sacrifice it’s place as the leader of all the other nations of the world and offer to destroy it’s civilization for the siren’s song of internationalism and equality.

We must not let this happen. It’s clear that the leaders of our nation believe there is something wrong with all THE GREATNESS WE HAVE ACHIEVED, AND because of this they believe America must be diminished. The irony is that oppressed people on earth who dream of being in America and dream of freedom will have their dreams die as the beacon of American freedom is dimmed and extinguished.

The choice that we have before us is not right or left. It is not Liberal or Conservative. My friends, the choice before us is only up or down.

The choice up leads to ideals of American exceptionalism, free enterprise, civil society and individual liberty. The choice down that our Democrat friend’s present leads straight to the soup kitchen of the welfare state and to the ant hill of totalitarianism.

The Democrats promise Utopian ideas like health care for all, reduced carbon emissions and low cost education in exchange for volunteer service. They promise us many things in this version of Eden including butterflies and rainbows. What their Utopian plans will actually deliver though is the Dystopia of East Germany in 1957. There was nothing gray or dreary there. No one went hungry or in need in that Marxist dream place so our Democrat leaders, ignorant of the history of their economic and social theories think “Why not impose that here?”

The party that espouses keeping the government out of our bedrooms and out of a woman’s body is putting the plan together to invade all the other rooms of our houses, our offices and our cars. They are even working on getting into our Jacuzzis. I like to be naked when I am in the Jacuzzi so I find this particularly disturbing because I don’t want to be anywhere near Nancy Pelosi while I’m naked.

Now with their so called health care plans they are going to invade all of our bodies and invasively cavity-search every orifice.

With their plans to cut costs the Democrats are willing to sell our bodies to the Federal government and of course, do this for our own good. This is why I like to call what they are doing to us “Death Care” plans instead of health care because the governments only care for us is that if we are dead so they won’t have to allocate scarce and strictly rationed resources to us.

I am not one to trade freedom for security because this leaves us with neither and the Democrats (have) did a masterful job terrifying the majority of Americans into making this nefarious trade last November.

It is time for us to stand up to these tyranny peddling oppressors and say no! No more invasions of our choices and no more micromanaging of our lives by the nanny state.

Henry Waxman for all of his beauty, benevolence, charisma and charm is nothing more than a petty bully dictator who wishes to have ultimate power over all of us.

Henry Waxman and his fellow commissars of the inconsequential must be stopped now! HENRY WAXMAN HAS BEEN IN CONGRESS TOO LONG. NOW IT’S TIME TO SEND HIM BACK TO THE REAL WORLD WHERE HE WILL HAVE TO LIVE UNDER THE OPPRESSIVE LAWS HE HAS HELPED PASS.

I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees in chains and slavery. A country that is ready for a master deserves one. My friends, we deserve no master and we will never be ready for one.

On November 2nd 2010 we can pull the trigger and fire a new shot heard round the world. We will shock the Democrats and beat them in this district that they take so much for granted. Let’s join the rebellion and have a new revolution. We will redeem and preserve the original ideals that made this country the greatest on earth and the place where men could be truly free.

Thank you for joining us tonight. God bless you and God bless the United States of America!”

Mark Reed Picking Up Support!

California Congressional candidate Mark Reed is picking up important support from the California GOP for his campaign to unseat Democrat Brad Sherman. Senior State GOP officials have promised to work with Mark on his campaign.

An important distinction needs to be made here: although the GOP officials are supporting Mark, this is not yet an official endorsement. The CA GOP will not make such an endorsement until the primary, an important difference from the Charlie Crist FLA debacle. But it does mean Reed gets support with access, information and communication.

Native American Republican to Challenge Brad Sherman in California!

Mark Reed has been making the rounds of Republican groups in the San Fernando Valley to drum up support for his run against Brad Sherman, a man who laughed about not reading the Waxman-Markey cap and trade bill before voting for it.
"If we had read it, it would have told us nothing," Sherman contemptuously told questioners at a recent town hall meeting. At that same meeting Mark Reed stood up and challenged Sherman to a debate, as well as calling him on the Democrats' treatment of veterans.
The following is an essay by Reed, courtesy lgstarr:
"I was raised with the belief we must give back more than we take and we need to consider the impact our actions will have on the next four generations. I was taught to respect my elders and that our mothers are the matriarchs of society.

History has shown many nations what not to do and what can be done for the better of the whole. History has shown me that every path traveled has been traveled by our elders. Our only difficulties come from our selfish need to receive credit for a job well done. History has given us many wise men and women to learn from. Their written word is a tribute to the way in which they thought. Speech writers will use many quotes from a variety of speeches to express their point of view however; it still is not an original.

I do like using the written word of my elders because it will express what it is I believe best. In 1919 a Doctor Frank Crane wrote; “The best of all possible governments is that in which the last and least citizen feels he is to blame or to be praised for all the government does. The worst is that in which the largest number of citizens do not think it is any concern of theirs. All governments by a chosen few, by the richest, strongest, wisest or best, tend to keep the people in a state of childhood. The stronger the state the weaker the people. The whole people grows as a man grows, by self expression and responsibility. It is not so necessary to keep a people from making mistakes; it is necessary to make a people feel that it is responsible for its mistakes. Government’s smallest duty is ruling a people; its chief duty is educating a people.

You have heard it said that this or that nation is unfit for self government. As a matter of fact, there never was a nation fit for self government. A people grows cable of self government in only one way ----- by governing itself.” In 1966 a man came along with ideas that most dismissed, however have become more relevant as time passes. He delivered a speech with a theme worth repeating today. I made a few changes to fit this speech.

Politicians are confused and they have confused us wityh a double standard of morality. The try to keep alive a moral code for our individual conduct --- “Don’t cheat,” “Promises are sacred.” “Your word is your bond,” “Serve your fellow men’ --- but at the same time, they expect us to accept double-dealing at government levels. We have lost our capacity to get angry when decisions are not based on moral truth, but on political expediency. When small men are granted great rewards for political favors, we excuse it with the expression: “Well, that’s politics.”

I realize that modern political dialogue concerns itself largely with false image-making, rather than with legitimate debate over different viewpoints: and no candidate can hope to engage in a political contest without experiencing the deliberate distortions of his or her positions and his or her beliefs. But I sometimes wonder if we haven’t reached one of those moments in time when the stakes are too high for this kind of middle-aged juvenile delinquency. Public officials are elected primarily for one purpose—to solve problems. You have a right to ask any candidate about his or her understanding of the problems we face today, their acceptance of responsibility for solving those problems, and whether they have a fresh approach or just offers the same old bargain-basement politics-“We’ll do everything the other fellow’s been doing; only we will do it cheaper and better.”

You have the right to know—and I am obligated to tell you—where I stand and what I believe. To begin with – I am not a politician. I am an ordinary citizen with a deep-seated belief that much of what troubles us has been brought about by politicians; and it’s high time that more ordinary citizens brought the fresh air of common sense thinking to bear on these problems. We’ve had enough of the wheeling and dealing, and enough of schemers and schemes.

I think it’s time now for dreamers—practical dreamers—willing to re-implement the original dream which became this nation—that idea that has never fully been tried before in the world—that you and I have the capacity for self government - the dignity and the ability and the God-given freedom to make our own decisions, to plan our own lives and control our own destiny. Now it’s been said that nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come. This took place some 225 years ago in this country.

But there is another idea abroad in the land today. Americans, divided in so many ways, are united in their determination that no area of human need should be ignored. A people that can reach out to the stars has decided that the problems of human misery can be solved and they’ll settle for nothing less. The big question is not whether—but how, and at what price.

We can’t accept the negative philosophy of those who close their eyes, hoping the problems will disappear, or that questions of unemployment, inequality of opportunity, or the needs of the elderly and the sick will take care of themselves.

But, neither should we unquestioningly follow those others who pass the problems along to the Federal government, abdicating their personal responsibility. The problem with that solution is that for every ounce of federal help we get, we surrender an ounce of personal freedom. What is obviously needed is not more government, but better government, seeking a solution to the problems that will not add to the bureaucracy, or unbalance the budget, or further centralize power.

There is no major problem that cannot be resolved by a vigorous and imaginative Federal administration willing to utilize the tremendous potential of our people. We have the greatest concentration of industrial and scientific research facilities of any country. Tens of thousands of successful and highly talented men and women are in our business communities; colleges and universities are rich in possibilities for study and research; charities and philanthropic enterprises are many, and there are innumerable people of creative talent in the professions.

The Federal government cannot substitute for the American people and should recognize that it cannot possibly match the great potential of the people, and thus, must coordinate the creative energies of the people for the good of the whole.

Now this isn’t the time for some glorified program for passing the buck and telling people to play Samaritan and solve the problems on their own, while government stands by to hand out Good Conduct ribbons.

There is a definite and active role for government, but the idea of an economy planned and controlled by government just doesn’t make sense. No matter how talented the government is, it is incapable of making the multiple decisions that must be made every day in the market place and in our community living.

The present administration’s approach to our deteriorating business climate is always another pill out of the same old bottle. Build another bureau, add another tax, and put the unemployed on the public payroll. We need to turn to those who truly have the capacity to create jobs and prosperity. Ask the best brains of industry and the community:

What is needed to make America once again attractive to industry? Ask them to evolve the plans for creating job opportunities and on-the-job training—because employment and prosperity are the function and responsibility of private enterprise. It is government’s responsibility to end the harassment, roadblocks, regressive taxation and to offer wherever practical, tax incentives that will help to provide jobs and a friendly business climate.

No small part of the heavy tax load that is borne by the working men and women of our country is a welfare load, which is now increasing faster than our spending on education. Those who administer Federal programs have their hands tied by excessive regulations and red tape imposed by Congress and the Senate. We need to call upon the thinking of campus researchers and the experienced in public service to make a study to establish that we are doing all we can, first of all, for those who are disabled, aged and who, through no fault of their own, must depend on the rest of us.

Our goal should be not only to provide the necessities of life, but those comforts such as we can afford that will make their life worth living. We then must turn to that part having to do with those who need temporary help—who are being helped through an emergency period only until they can again play a productive role. We must determine that this is still our purpose and that we have not, instead, settled on a program of perpetuating poverty with a permanent dole.

The 11th century Hebrew physician and philosopher, Maimonides, said there are eight steps in helping the needy. The lowest of these is a handout; the highest is to teach them to help themselves. By contrast Obama’s guiding philosophy is the redistribution of income. Well, this is a reversal of the carrot and stick philosophy, penalizing the industrious and rewarding the unproductive. Redistributing income does not increase purchasing power or prosperity—only increased productivity can accomplish that.

Have we in America forgotten our own accomplishments? For over 200 years we’ve been fighting the most successful war on poverty the world has ever seen. We simply need to return to the people the privilege of self-government, as well as a pledge for a more efficient representative government—citizens of proven ability in their fields, serving where their experience qualifies them, proposing common sense answers for our problems, reviewing governmental structure itself and bringing it into line with the most advanced, modern business practices.

The theme that Ronald Reagan spoke of is even more relevant today than then. The leadership of our United States Congress is guilty of ignorant, arrogant and immoral decision and policy making. The Republican Party is the party of the individual and not the group. We are individuals working within a political framework called the Constitution of the United States. Congress should never forget we will fight against the suppressive controls of a totalitarian government.

Our country is measured in two categories; the first is the size and health of our middle class. Every economist will agree that our middle class is under attack and so is the health of our economy.

The second category that measures the health of our country is the way in which we take care of our elders and our children. Everyone knows what our politicians have done to Social Security and Medicaid. I want to address in short our
children; our news broadcast will expose once in a while the number of predators waiting in the dark to scar our children for life. However, the unspoken shame is the endless bureaucracy they need to endure to get help.

I am 52 years old, I have three children, 30-28-26 and in the eyes of my parents I am still a child. At 86 years of age they still feel my pains and share in my joys of life. This fact of life will never change. Just as society shares in the pains and joys of life of the community’s children. Our boys and girls who enlist in our military are trained to do the jobs of men and women. Our children who go to war come back as men and women. Some with physical scars, all with emotional scars, scars that only another Veteran can understand.

In the beginning of this country the American Indian was at war with the Department of War in defense of their home land and way of life. We now fight side by side with the Department of Defense to defend our home land and our ways of life. These freedoms have been paid for in blood and should never be taken for granted. What you claim to be yours is only yours if you can defend it. We all owe our way of life to the warriors who have fought and died for the preservation of our freedom. The number one priority of Congress should be to make it as easy to obtain physical and mental health care as easy as it was to enlist. Let us not forget the past. Let us embrace our personal responsibility for our future.

Once again I will use the wise closing remarks of Ronald Reagan for my closing remarks. To those who talk of complex problems, requiring more government planning and more control, you are in reality taking us back in time to the acceptance of rule of the many by the few.

It is time to look to the future. We’ve had enough talk – disruptive talk – in America of left and right, dividing us down the center. There is really no such choice facing us. The only choice we have is up or down – up, to the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down, to the deadly dullness of totalitarianism. Do we still have the courage and the capacity to dream? If so, I wish you’d join me in a dream. Join me in a dream of a government that isn’t characterized by political hacks and cronies and relatives – an administration that doesn’t make its decisions based on political expediency but on moral truth. Together, let us find men and women to watch our mountains.

We can have a government administered by men and women who are appointed on the basis of ability and dedication – not as a reward for political favors. If we must have a double standard of morality, then let it be one, which demands more of those in government, not less.

This is a practical dream – it’s a dream you can believe in—it’s a dream worthy of America’s founding principles. Better yet, it’s a dream that can come true and all we have to do is want it badly enough. This is why I am running for congress; help me help you make this dream come true. Join my campaign as a volunteer or with a campaign contribution. Thank you."

Michael Steele Must Be In Love -- CA Republican Candidate Hires Illegal Aliens

From Stephen Frank's California Political News and Views...

"Brad Goehring is a GOP candidate for Congress in the CD 11. He also supplies agriculture with workers. "Still, he estimates that 40 percent of workers whom he hires may be illegal -- to judge by letters sent irregularly from the Social Security Administration long after harvest to alert employers that their employees' don't match the worker."

He hires 40% illegal aliens and gets away with it when notified by
Social Security about the illegals AFTER the work is completed. This allows them to come back with new names and different stolen or phony ID's.

Not only does he game the system to hire criminals, he blames others for it. "Goehring notes that his business turns over workers far more quickly than it used to. He faults welfare -- for paying people not to work -- as well as the fact that growers now have to compete for immigrant labor with construction, trucking and landscaping contractors." The man has no personal responsibility.

Then, he believes the government MUST provide HIM with cheap labor. "
Hajek and Goehring tell me they want to follow the law, but they also need laws that ensure them access to cheap immigrant labor. Americans simply won't reliably do the work, they say."

Of course Californians pay $11 billion in taxes to pay for his "cheap labor". That should be added to the cost of the peaches.

The good news is that Brad Goehring probably won't even make it to the starting line of the race to replace the anti-farmer Democrat
Jerry McNerney. Brad apparently has little in the way of ethics, believes the rest of us should subsidize his business and will not take responsibility for his actions--sounds to me like a Democrat. He is shoving in our face that he hires illegal aliens--must be proud of helping them break our laws."

Never mind running for Congress, how did Goehring avoid being offered an Obama Cabinet Post?

California Republican to Challenge Henry Waxman!

While the DC GOP establishment wallows in pork, patronage and puerility, local Republicans are stepping up to fill the gap:

Ari David is set to challenge Cap and Trade pirate Henry Waxman in California's 30th district. Check him out on FaceBook until his official site opens shortly!

"We are going through a critical time in our history. It is a time that requires important decisions about our future. Last November the Democrats won a wide electoral victory and promised change. The change they have provided has been much more radical than we expected or are willing to accept without a fight.

The very nature of personal freedom is at stake. Currently congressman Henry Waxman is leading a charge to take away huge amounts of the personal freedom we have enjoyed all of our lives in the name of doing it for our own good. Tyranny is bad enough but tyranny done in the name of our own good is a vile form of governmental oppression because this tyranny will never rest.

I have made a decision to challenge Henry Waxman for his congressional seat. This was not an easy decision but I decided that if Americans in the future are going to live in liberty, people of my generation have to stand up and fight for it. Henry Waxman is the first person we need to target in this fight."

Each time a person stands up for an ideal…

One of the reasons this site was created was to make The National Republican Senatorial Committee, which seems to be in the business of selling out the GOP, see the light and failing that, to make them feel the heat of conservatives who are incensed over its betrayal of the legacy left by its greatest mentor, Ronald Reagan.

Much has been written about the “demise” of the GOP in light of its recent losses to the liberal left. Many say the GOP is dead or dying. Perhaps the party is dying. History will write its obituary if that is true, but conservatism is alive and well in this country.

Francis Marion, a Revolutionary War commander known as the “Swamp Fox”, is said to have asked, “Why should I trade one tyrant three thousand miles away for three thousand tyrants one mile away? An elected legislature can trample a man's rights as easily as a king can.”

Robert Stacy McCain and Erik Erickson are asking like-minded conservatives to join the fight against The National Republican Senatorial Committee because of its insistence on blindly supporting those candidates it deems “electable” without any thought to what Republican voters want. By betraying its mission, the NRSC becomes the enemy of liberty.

I do not reside in the state of Florida, but many of my fellow countrymen do. As you have surmised by now, this blog was birthed by the outrage over the Republican Party of Florida working to shut out Marco Rubio from any party support. It's based on "Rule 11" of the GOP, which would allow the national party to focus its resources on a single candidate -- in this case Charlie Crist -- and shut out Marco Rubio.

Pinellas State Committeeman Tony DiMatteo said, "To try to impose Rule 11 on a former Speaker of the House of Representatives—a Hispanic American, at a time when we're trying to reach out to Hispanics and African-Americans and diversify—is beyond outrageous.”

The Republican National Committee has picked up the habit of backing losers and forcing the rest of us to fund those choices. It’s time to put the brakes on.

Florida’s Republican Senate primary has become a contest between the Party’s base and its national leadership. Since the start of the Obama administration, the national party has attempted to capture the energy of the base by endorsing anti-spending Tea Parties, opposing the Democratic agenda, and blaming the losses of 2006 and 2008 on a move away from fiscal conservatism. At the same time, it has courted more moderate candidates like Florida’s Crist, California’s former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, and former Gov. Tom Ridge (R-PA). Until he became a Democrat earlier this month, the National Republican Senatorial Committee had supported Sen. Arlen Specter (D-PA) over conservative foot soldier Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania’s Senate race. This disconnect between message and recruitment has angered conservative activitists and is setting up heated primaries that the party would have preferred to avoid.
"Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, these ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."
